Surrounded by family, colleagues and friends, Lori Hale, Principal at the Pendleton Early Learning Center, received the inaugural Crystal Apple Leadership Award on Monday, May 9, 2022.  This prestigious award is given to honor an exemplary administrator in the region who has exhibited strong leadership skills and contributed to student success in their district.

Mr. Fritsch describes Mrs. Hale as “A great leader, who has balanced collaborating with staff and tasking herself with many bold decisions.  Whether as a coach, mentor, or educator, Mrs. Hale has the ability to connect with whoever she works with.  Mrs. Hale is leaving a big hole in our administrative team.”

Mrs. Hale agonized over the hard decision to retire as she loves her job and the people she works with.  She graciously accepted the award and thanked her amazing family for their support throughout the years of the very best career she’s so passionate about.
